JENNY REBECCA SMITH

Jenny Rebecca Smith, 50, of McCalla, Alabama went to her Heavenly Home on Monday, September 5th, 2022. Jenny was born March 25th, 1972, to Robert “Robby” and Linda Smith, the oldest of two children. Jenny was preceded in death by her loving and devoted father, Robby, who was waiting with open arms to welcome Jenny to her Heavenly home. She was also preceded in death by grandparents, Bobby & Arlene Smith and Marsel Lepper; aunt, Susan Lepper Riley; uncle, Randy Smith; and nephew, Joey Harless. Jenny is survived by her loving and devoted mother, Linda Smith; her sister and brother-in-law, Angela “Ala” & Robert Harless; nephews, Logan “LoLo” Willis, Brody “BroBro” Willis and Bobby Harless; niece Zoë Grace “Baby” Willis; grandmother, Mary Lepper; and many aunts, uncles and cousins. Jenny was the most precious soul with the biggest heart that ever walked this earth. She was small in stature, but oh so mighty; her heart was bigger than life, her love outshined the sun, her generosity bigger than the open sky and her smile was absolutely infectious. She never met a stranger and included everyone she encountered; Jenny was truly an angel on earth. Anyone that knew Jenny, knew her love of pens, paper, books, keys, purses, and her dollar bills. As much as she loved all those things, her greatest love was for Jesus. Her favorite place to go was church and she worshipped & praised Jesus with all of her being. Her favorite music was gospel and worship music. The family will greet friends from 5:00 to 7:00 pm on Thursday, September 8th, 2022, at Tannehill Valley Baptist Church, 12858 Tannehill Pkwy, McCalla, AL 35111, with a Celebration of Life following at 7:00 pm. A graveside service will be held on Friday, September 9th, 2022, at Bucksville Cemetery, 13079 Tannehill Pkwy, McCalla, AL 35111 at 11:00 am with Brother Jon Reeves officiating. Pallbearers will be Logan Willis, Brody Willis, Bobby Harless, Robert Harless, Bobby Williams, Kevin Snow and Cliff Snow. Honorary pallbearer Travis Williams. Jenny’s family extends their heartfelt thanks to Dr. Gandhi, Dr. Wang, Dr. Hyde, Dr. Banks, Nurse Jennifer “Jenny”, the health-care professionals at Monogram Health and ComfortCare Hospice for their love, care and commitment to Jenny.
