BARBARA WILSON EZELL

Barbara Wilson Ezell, 77, of Hueytown, Alabama passed away March 22, 2021 with her family by her side. She was born to the late Paul and Ruth Wilson March 4, 1944. She graduated from Hueytown High School in 1962. She was a faithful member of Hueytown First United Methodist Church. Barbara devoted her life to serving the church an unapologetically loved Jesus. She retired from Noala Methodist Federal Credit Union after 25 years Barbara was married to her loving husband, Lonnie E. Ezell for 58 years. August 17th would have made it 59. Together they had 3 beautiful children, Gregory Scott, Connie Michelle, and Stacy Marie Ezell. Her family grew vastly over the years. Between 6 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren, her house stayed filled with joy, laughter, and a really good meal. “Nana” as she is known by many, never met a stranger. She was always willing to help someone and invite you in for a good story or laugh. And when she needed to get her point across, you would get a good “mmmhmm”. That’s when you knew you better listen. She adored spending time with her classmates and work friends having lunch every month. Barbara enjoyed riding motorcycles with her husband. One time traveling as far as 3,855 miles in 8 days to the 4 corners. She loved traveling to the beach and the mountains. Barbara is preceded in death by Gregory Scott Ezell, Karen Ryan Ezell, Malorie Nicole Ezell, Sisters Marian Wilson Abernathy and Lois Wilson Hinton. She is survived by her adoring husband Lonnie Ezell, sister Shirley Wilson Barron,daughter Connie & Son-in-Law Mike Belcher, Stacy Ezell; Grandchildren Tyler & Jessica Gore, Chase & Allyson Ezell, Brittany & Colin Cirel, Bailey Walker, Aaron Belcher; Great-Grandchildren Barrett and Olivia Ezell. The visitation will be Friday, March 26, 2021 from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM at Hueytown United Methodist Church. The service will be at 11:00 AM at the Church. Burial will follow at Pleasant Ridge Cemetery. Masks will be required during the service.
