Thomas “Tommy” Hester, age 79 of Hueytown, Al., passed away August 30, 2020. Tommy was a retired steel worker. He loved hunting, fishing, camping, and gardening. He loved spending time with his grandchildren, and great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his wife Gwendolyn Hester; daughter Catherine Reid; grandson Tommy Reid. He is survived by his daughters Theresa Watts (Frankie), and Tracy Johnston; son Heath Hester (Tasha); grandchildren Ashley McDougal (Kyle), Adam Johnston (Carrie), Jessica Hill (Adam), Amy Hicks (Justin), Raeleigh Hester; great grandchildren Kaleb, Asher, Conor, Mika and Mikayla; three brothers; one sister. The visitation will be Wednesday, September 2, 2020 at Peoples Chapel Funeral Home from 12:30 PM until 2:00 PM. The chapel service will be at 2:00 PM at the Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Valley Creek Cemetery.
