PHILLIP MICHAEL LOVOY

Phillip Michael Lovoy, 60, from Birmingham, Alabama, ascended to Heaven to be with our Lord on Sunday, January 30, 2022. Phillip was a compassionate man who loved with his whole heart, always put others' needs ahead of his own, never met a stranger and had a huge circle of friends as a result. He loved drag racing with his family and all of the friends he met along the way. It brought him joy knowing that his children and grandchildren shared his love for racing. Phillip was very talented when it came to his first love, there was an art to how he could bring old cars back to life. But most of all, he loved spending time with his family.He is proceeded in death by his parents, Joseph “Joe” and Pauline Lovoy; daughter, Kristina Lovoy. He is survived by his loving wife of 31 years, Denisa Lovoy; daughter, Nikki McGee (Billy Paul); son, Anthony Lovoy; grandchildren, Skylar, Khloe, Catherine, Meradith; siblings, Jody Lovoy, Deb Wegent, Paula Bunn (Greg); several nieces, nephews and cousins.The Memorial Service for family and friends to share their favorite memories will be held on Friday, February 4, 2022, at 2:00pm at People’s Chapel Funeral Home, 195 Brooklane Drive, Hueytown, Alabama 35023.
