MITTIE M. MORRISON Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Mittie M. Morrison, 83 of Pleasant Grove passed away December 25, 2020. Mittie was a 1955 graduate of Brookwood High School. She retired from Pleasant Grove Baptist Day Care. She was a member of Pleasant Grove First Baptist Church, the Amazing Grays Choir, and the Stokes Chapel Sunday School class. She loved Jesus and her family, baking, and sing. She had a green thumb and could grow a bush from a twig. She had a sweet smile and everyone loved her. Mittie was preceded in death by her husband Billy Morrison; son Keith Morrison, father Calvin G. Gunn; mother Mittie Gunn; brothers Dewey Gunn, Huey Gunn, and Lonnie Gunn; sister Ada Lee. She is survived by her son Daniel Morrison (Leslie); daughter Charlotte Truelove (Byron); grandson David Truelove (Kimberly); granddaughter Ashley McCamy (Nathan); daughter-in-law Leigh Morrison; brother Calvin Gunn (Maggie); sister Dollie Miller; and numerous nieces and nephews. The visitation will be from12:30 PM until 1:30 PM, Tuesday, December 29, 2020, at Peoples Chapel Funeral Home. The graveside service will be at 2:00 PM at Forest Grove Cemetery, with Rev. Rick Mitchell officiating. The family would like to thank Adam Alvis and staff at the Oaks on Parkwood for their loving care they gave our mother for the past three years. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials be made to Pleasant Grove First Baptist Church.
