Michael “Mike” Wayne Parsons, 57, of Oak Grove, passed away June 19, 2022. He graduated from Oak Grove High School and attended Bessemer Technical School. He enjoyed racing cars and riding motorcycles. He also loved water sports and taking his grandchildren on boat rides. He was a member of Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church. He formerly worked as a master medium heavy truck technician at Robbie D. Wood Trucking Company. He also tinted windows. Mike was preceded in death by his father Jack Parsons, brother Randy Parsons, and his nephew Brandon Pausic. He is survived by his mother Geraldine Parsons; children Ashlynn Parsons, Kaleigh Durham (Trevor), Krissy Parsons, Josh Parsons, Shelby Parsons; grandchildren Braden Parsons and Cruz Dunlap; sister Donda Pausic (Frank); niece Ashley Pausic; nephews Cody Pausic , Drew Pausic and Dylan Pausic. The visitation will be Saturday, June 24, 2022, from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM at Peoples Chapel Funeral Home. The funeral service will be at 11:00 AM at the Funeral Home, with Bro. Jeff Hickey officiating. Burial will follow at Highland Memorial Gardens.
