JO ANNE DUCKETT FIX Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Jo Anne Duckett Fix passed away at 90 years old on July 5, 2022 in the presence of family. She is survived by her loving husband of 72 years, Richard Fix. Jo Anne is also survived by her grandchildren, Peter W. Smith, Jr. (Amy) and Randi T. Northcutt (Brad). She is preceded in death by her children, Connie Smith, Debbie Tubbs, and Richard Fix, Jr. Her joy in life was to be surrounded by family and friends, preparing delicious meals and ensuring everyone was enjoying themselves. She knew how to have a good time, from toasting with her friends to doing cartwheels in the middle of family gatherings. Jo Anne had a creative side; she sewed clothes for her children (even sewing Debbie’s wedding dress), she painted beautiful pieces of wood work, and gardened almost year-round. She will be greatly missed by all who had the chance to know her, but may we all find solace that she is home with her children undoubtedly setting another beautiful table of delicious food. Jo Anne will be laid to rest during a graveside service at Highland Memorial Gardens on Saturday, July 9th at 1:00pm; visitation will take place afterwards at the graveside. In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital are welcome.
