Jimmy R. Cruce, age 85, of Bessemer, Al, passed away January 12, 2021. He was retired from the US Post Office. He served his country in the United States Air Force. Jimmy loved bowling, Atlanta Braves and New Orleans Saints. He loved to listen to old time gospel with pure joy. He is survived by his wife Wayne Cruce; daughters Dana Cruce Polk (/David), and Deborah Cruce Ashcraft (Troy); grandchildren Ashley Quicksall, Brandi Cruce Allbritton (Michael), Jeremy H. Polk (Courtnie), Chelsea Polk, Tristan Ashcraft (April) Julie Ann Polk Wynne (Sam), and Taylor Ashcraft; great grandchildren Malachi Quicksall, Ionah Quicksall, Inman Polk,,Oliver Ashcraft, and John Wesley Polk; sisters Gerri Trammell, and Joyce Ethridge; brother Clay Cruce. The visitation will be Monday, January, 18, 2021 from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM, at Peoples Chapel Funeral Home. A graveside service will follow at Highland Memorial Gardens at 11:30 AM, with Bro Joel Frederick officiating. In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to either the Gideon’s or the Missions program at Grace Life Baptist Church.
