James Byrum Hatcher "Pop', age 86, of Sylvan Springs, Al, passed away on April 27, 2022, peacefully at home surrounded by loved ones. He was the son of the late Ollis and Ruth Hatcher. He was retired as a self-employed Cabinet Maker, owner of J B Hatcher's Cabinet Shop, and was a cabinet maker for over 50 years. He was preceded in death by his wife Sandra B. Hatcher and brother Ollis Venson Hatcher. He is survived by his daughter Amy Michelle Ryan, son James Eric Hatcher, beloved grandchildren Caleb Brett Mays and Trenton Hardwicke Mays, sister Millie Jean Aldridge, and too many nieces and nephews and friends to count. The visitation will be from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM, Saturday, April 30, 2022, at Peoples Chapel Funeral Home. The funeral service will be at 11:00 AM at the Funeral Home, with Bro. Kevin Higgs officiating. Burial will follow at Sylvan Springs United Methodist Cemetery. In lieu Of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
