HOWARD MOORE

December 26, 2020

Howard loved his family and everyone around him. He loved God and loved to laugh. Howard was married to his high school sweetheart for 65 years. He entered the air force in 1954 and then went on to Howard University school of Pharmacy where he earned his Pharmacy degree. He opened Moore’s Pharmacy in 1967 where he and Mrs. Moore worked until they retired in 2010. During his many years of serving his community Howard acquired the name ‘Doc’ from some of his most loyal customers. He was honored to serve over four generations of families which provided him a great sense of accomplishment. Proceeded in death by his wife Ongelene (Ongia) Moore, parents Clyde Howard Moore and Ola Irene Moore, his son Keith Moore and his sister Dorthy Evans. Survived by his daughter, Marena (Danny) Hall; Daughter in-law, Jenny Moore; Four grandchildren, Jeromy (Jessica) Hall, Dana (Casey) Williams, Meagan (David) Hyde, Trent Moore; and 10 great grandchildren. The visitation will be from 12:30 PM until 1:30 PM, Wednesday, December 30, 2020, at Peoples Chapel Funeral Home. The graveside service will be at 2:00 PM, at Highland Memorial Gardens, With Rev. Mike Stephens officiating.
