Curtis Wade Cox (Elvis) of Hueytown passed away at home on January 24 at the age of 88. Curtis was born on May 24, 1933 to Ortha and Connie Hudson Cox. Curtis served in the Army during the Korean War. He then worked for American Cast Iron and Pipe Co. (ACIPCO) for 42 years and was Maintenance Supervisor when he retired. Curtis married the love of his life, Ann Orange, and would have celebrated their 70th Anniversary in June. During his retirement years, he enjoyed working on lawn mowers, working in his yard, going to Gatinburg, Tenn. and taking naps. Curtis was a member of Vineland Park Baptist Church in Hueytown. Curtis is survived by his wife Ann; son Danny (Sandra) Cox; granddaughter, Leslie Cox; sister Jim (Sonny) Dixon; Sister-in-law Betty Walton and many nieces and nephews. Graveside service to be held on January 27, 2022 at 11am at Cedar Hill Cemetery in Bessemer, Al.
