CHRISTOPHER "CHRIS" DOWNS

Christopher “Chris” "Cap'n Chaos" Downs, 57, of Lake View, passed away October 22, 2020. Chris graduated from Bessemer Academy and earned an Associate Degree from Herzing Institute. He previously worked for McCleod Software. He was an avid Auburn and Titan fan. He loved golf, Nascar, and football. Chris was a member of Shepherd of the Valley Presbyterian Church. Chris was preceded in death by his parents Mary and Herbert Downs. He is survived by his wife Kim Downs; children Taylor Downs, Troi Downs, Tyler Downs, and Chelsea Pickard; and grandchildren Aaron Downs, Khloe Downs, and Christian Downs. The visitation will be Saturday, October 24, 2020, from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM, at Shepherd of the Valley Presbyterian Church, McCalla. A memorial service will be at 10:30 AM at the Church, with Rev. Randy Kelser, and Rev. Jake McCall officiating.
