Barbara South McAlpin, 82, of Hueytown, formerly of Lamar County, passed away November 3, 2021. She is preceded in death by her husband Larry F. McAlpin; brothers, Everette South, John South; and her sister Frances Constantine. She is survived by her children Chuck Blackwell (Lea) and Chris Blackwell (Sheryl); granddaughters Sloan Meeks (Beau) and Riley Blackwell; 3 great grandchildren Kaylee, Hunter, & Beck, her pride & joy. She is preceded in death by her husband Larry F. McAlpin; brothers, Everette South, John South and her sister Frances Constantine. The visitation will be Friday, November 5, 2021 from 10:00 AM until 11:00 at Peoples Chapel Funeral Home. The funeral service will be at 11:00 AM at the Funeral Home. The family has requested in lieu of flowers, donations should be made to pleasant Grove United Methodist Church.
