WENDY KATHLEEN BURRIDGE CAFFEE

Wendy Kathleen Burridge Caffee, 61 of Bessemer Alabama, born March 13th, 1964, passed away peacefully and entered into the arms of Jesus surrounded by her loved ones on Sunday September 7th 2025 after a life long battle with MS. Wendy was a cheer leader for the Purple Tigers and graduated from Jess Lanier in 1981. Ten years later in 1991 she would adopt her first child to become a mother and in 1997 she got the miracle she had prayed so long for and gave birth to her second child. Wendy was a devoted Christian and was always sharing the love of Jesus with everyone she came into contact with. She was a member of Lipscomb Church of God for several years and also a member of Eastern Valley Church of God. She was deeply devoted to her family, and above all, her children. She was the embodiment of selflessness, always going above and beyond to care for and support her loved ones. Her kindness and nurturing spirit touched everyone she met, leaving an enduring mark on all who knew her. Wendy’s warmth, patience, and unwavering love will forever be remembered by those who were fortunate enough to be in her life. A sweet and gentle woman, Wendy had a natural ability to make people feel at ease, and her generous heart knew no bounds. Whether it was through a warm meal, a listening ear, or her quiet acts of love, Wendy made the world a brighter, safer place for her children and those who loved her. Wendy was loved by cousins, family, and friends from coast to coast. Her legacy of care and compassion will continue to live on through the many lives she touched. Wendy is survived by her 2 sons, Stephen Caffee (Victoria), Jonathan Caffee (Bailey), 2 grandchildren Mailee Hocutt and Nathan Caffee, Father William Burridge, Sisters Teresa Taylor (Mike), Tracy Cochran, Nieces Joni Woodruff (Clint), Katie Cochran (Eric), Nephews Daniel Cochran (Samantha), Michael Taylor, several great nieces and great nephews, step brother Charlie Brown, Gary Barlow, step sisters Cherri Martin (Ernie), Connie Azbik (Wayne) She was preceded in death by her mother Mary Findley and her stepfather David Findley, Stepmother Peggy Burridge, Grandparents, John and Gladys Burridge, Ivy and Louise Roberts, Brother in law David Cochran. Services will be conducted at Peoples Chapel funeral home in Hueytown Alabama, Brother Jeff Crockett officiating. Viewing will be Thursday September 11th family will receive friends from 5 to 7pm. Funeral service will be Friday September 12 at 11am with a graveside to follow at Cedar Hill cemetery.
