NICHOLAS "NICK" LEDBETTER

We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of our little man Nicholas (Nick) Ledbetter, age 14 of Brookwood AL—a shining light who brightened the lives of all those around him. Nicholas Cain Ledbetter was born on August 12, 2008, in Greeneville, Tennessee to his loving parents Danna and Dustin. Nick had a contagious zest for life despite facing many challenges due to Rubinstein Taybi Syndrome. He approached each day with a smile and unwavering spirit. His determination and strength were a true inspiration to all who knew him. Nick’s infectious smile, laughter, bright blue eyes, and playful nature brought joy to everyone he met. He had a special way of making people feel seen and know they were loved, he always had a way to make someone’s bad day just melt away. He taught all that knew him to cherish the little moments and find happiness in the simplest things. Nick loved spending time with friends, and family, playing with toys, watching cartoons, Music, and lights, screen time with siblings, Riding in Midnight, sitting on the porch in the evenings, being read to, and listening while Mama sing her special songs just for him. Nick’s all-time favorite thing to do was Dance. He would dance all day long if he was able, and have it his way. Nick attended Lloyd Wood Education Center in Northport. He was an outstanding student who loved to learn and make friends. Nick was always excited to be at school and made everyone happy to be around him. He was a hard worker who thrived on praise when he would complete a task. He was loved by all his classmates, teachers, and staff. Nick is survived by his parents: Danna(Jeramy) Covey of Brookwood, Dustin(Katelynn) Ledbetter of Clanton. Sisters: Brooklynn Covey, Aubrie Tillery, Lydia, and Kimberlin Ledbetter. Brothers: Joshua Ledbetter and Joeseph Tillery, Grandparents: Gidget Thomas, Krystal Clumer-Phillips, Kimberly Dana Wilson, Uncles, Aunts, and Cousins, along with Great Uncles, Aunts and Cousins. He is proceeded in Death by his grandparents Donald and Dian Ledbetter, Poppy Robert Giles, Great Grandparents, Great Uncles, and Aunts. Nick’s Memorial Service wil be from 12:30 PM until 2:30 PM, Wednesday, July 5, 2023 at Peoples Chapel Funeral Home, Hueytown, AL. Nick’s passing has left a void in our hearts, but his memories will live on in the laughter, love, and kindness he shared with us all. He taught us the importance of cherishing every moment, finding joy in all the unexpected things and truly enjoying life.
