MARY LOWREY HALL

Mary Lowrey Hall, of Concord, Alabama, passed away on Thursday, October 30, 2025, at the Baptist Reynolds Hospice House in Memphis, Tennessee, at the age of 88. A devoted wife, mother, and friend, Mary dedicated her life to her family and to serving others. She especially cherished her membership at Concord Baptist Church, where she found joy in its grief ministry, weekly family outreach, and in sharing her love of music as a choir member and soloist. Born in Woodstock, Alabama, Mary was the youngest of four children of the late Audrey Dailey Lowrey and John Parker “J.P.” Lowrey. At age 14, she and her family moved to Hueytown, Alabama, where she faithfully attended Concord Baptist Church and graduated from Hueytown High School in 1955. Mary married the late Clarence Dossie “C.D.” Beasley Jr. and began a long and notable career with Alabama Power Company, where she served for 36 years in various roles, including Manager of the Customer Service Center, Manager of Customer Accounting, and Director of Employee Training. Following the unexpected death of her first husband, Mary later married the late William “Bill” E. Hall who also worked at Alabama Power Company. Together, they retired early to spend more time with family, travel, and to serve their church. In addition to camping with their close friends, their favorite adventure was to visit Alaska and the Yukon Territory of Canada. Mary and Bill shared 27 wonderful years together. Mary is survived by her son, Ken E. Beasley of Memphis, Tennessee; daughter-in-law Elizabeth Odom Bean (Bob) of Fisherville, Tennessee; and her beloved grandchildren Misty B. Thompson (Dewayne) of Edger, Alabama, Megan L. Smith (Tim) of Southaven, Mississippi, Parker C. Beasley (fiancé Madee Hayes) of Dallas, Texas, and Andrew J. Bean (Lauren) of Fort Myers, Florida. She is also survived by her brother Milford E. Lowrey of Bloomington, Illinois, and sister-in-law Mary Helen Hall Sims of Birmingham, Alabama, both of whom she cherished and depended upon until her passing. One of Mary’s greatest joys in life was being “Aunt Mary” to her ten nieces and five nephews. Mary is also predeceased by son Cary W. Beasley, sister Edna Lowrey Purdue, and brother C. William “Billy” Lowrey. Services will be held on Friday, November 7, 2025, at Concord Baptist Church in Bessemer, Alabama. Visitation will begin at 10:30 a.m. followed by a Celebration of Life at 11:30 a.m. Private interment to follow. It was Mary’s wish that in lieu of flowers, any memorial tributes be made in the form of a charitable donation to the Concord Baptist Church - Cemetery Fund, or a charity of your choice. The family extends heartfelt appreciation to those who provided exceptional care, compassion, and comfort during Mary’s final months, including Sitters Charlotte Maclin, Iperdella Sanderlin, Chauniece Anderson, and Gennifer Maclin; Baptist Trinity Hospice Nurse Case Manager Becky Murphy, BSN, RN; and the entire team at Baptist Reynolds Hospice House.
