LUCILLE ROBERTSON

Lucille Robertson, age 72, born November 10, 1952 of Bessemer, AL went to her Heavenly home on Friday August 29, 2025. Lucille was the heart, and the rock of our family. Known as “Nanny” to many. She was known as the ballpark Nanny back when the boys played baseball. She took pride in her daughters, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Nanny enjoyed watching her great grandson Mason play baseball, she called him roadrunner. Her grandkids and great grandkids were everything to her, she lit up everytime she seen them. She loved her family and enjoyed being around them. Lucille was a big believer in the Lord, Jesus Christ and attended the Voice of Life church where Brother Phillip Oliver was her pastor. Lucille was a giver and was always willing to help others. She never met a stranger and loved talking with everyone. Lucille was preceded in death by her loving partner of 55 years, Jerry Robertson; daughter Jerri Lynn Robertson; and granddaughter Audrey Lucille Cooley. She is also preceded in death by her parents, Walter Noel Stinnett, and Velma Stinnett; Sisters, Linda McCullough, Beatrice Stinnett, Lois Land, & Brother David Stinnett. She is survived by her daughter Niki Leigh Cunningham (Nick); grandchildren; Courtney Orton (Connor); Morgan Carter (Adam); Jay Cooley; Jeremy Garrard (Haley); great grandchildren; Mason Garrard (Roadrunner); Caius Carter, Gracie Lynn Carter, John Dack Cooley; Mckenzie Lou Garrard. She is also survived by brothers and sisters Margie Stinnett, Nolen Stinnett, Don Stinnett, Loren Stinnett, Sue Aymond, And many other nieces, nephews and friends. We will miss her fiesty personality, and the unconditional love she spread throughout her life. We want to thank ACG Hospice for taking such good care of Lucille as well as family and friends for all the love and support throughout all of this. Paul Bearers will be Nick Cunningham, Connor Orton, Adam Carter, Jeffery Brasher, DeWayne Brasher, Mason Garrard and Michael May. The visitation will be Friday, September 5, 2025, from 10:AM until 11:00 AM, at Peoples Chapel Funeral Home. The funeral service will be at 11:00 AM at the Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Valley Creek Cemetery.
