BRO. THOMAS "T.K." DAILEY

Bro. Thomas (T. K.) Dailey, 87, of Bessemer, went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, Monday, November 8, 2017. Born October 30, 1930, in Woodstock, AL, the second son of Edgar and Willie Dailey, both deceased, He later moved with his parents and brother, E. M.,Jr. “Mikie”, recently deceased, and sister Martha Ann (Byars) to east Birmingham area where he graduated from Phillips High School. Following his father‘s footsteps, he went to work for the railroad, which took him to Vici, Oklahoma and his soulmate, Vita Lucille Tomberlin. They married, raised three sons, Tom Jr. (deceased), John and David and enjoyed 62 happy years together until her home going, December 31, 2014. Soon after marriage, Bro. Dailey accepted God's call to preach His Word and attended Howard College part of Samford University and Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Texas and was ordained a Baptist minister which began his 64 year career as a loving pastor and dedicated soul winner until his retirement in December of 2016. He lived every day of his life according to God’s Word. Bro. Dailey’s favorite verse, John 3:16, For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life., reflected his passion for soul winning. He was a loving and faithful pastor as he served many churches, most notably Flint Hill Baptist Church, Bessemer, AL for 20 years and founded Parkway Baptist Church, Bucksville, AL 34 yrs ago. Bro. Dailey dearly loved his family and friends was so proud of all of them. He is survived by Jean Bishop; sister, Martha Ann Byars (Russ); daughter-in-law, Joann; sons, John G. Dailey, his wife Christy, and David C. Dailey, his wife Sandra. Five grandchildren, Alisha Needs (Rich), Aaron Dailey (Lucy), Jeromy Dailey, Carey Babcock (Nick), Stacey Wells (Joey). Seventeen great-grandchildren, and four great-great grandchildren. Bro. Dailey’s love, devotion and dedication as a pastor, soul winner, father and friend will be missed. Visitation will be at Peoples Chapel Funeral Home, November 12, 2017, from 3:00 P.M. until 5:00 P.M. The funeral service will be at 11:00 A.M., Monday, November 13, 2017 at Parkway Baptist Church, 22767 Bucksville Road, Mcalla, AL 35111 with the burial at Cedar Hill, Bessemer, Al.
