ANGELA NICOLE CATER JONES

Angela Nicole Cater Jones, Angie as she was so affectionately known, was born on June 5, 1972 to Bill & Deborah Cater. She passed away, September 30, 2024, at the age of 52 after a struggle with AMML (leukemia) and the side effects of Graft vs Host Disease. Angie graduated from McAdory High School in 1990. She had a servants heart and used that as a nurse working at the Medical West Tannehill Clinic while also being the go to person for medical questions for her family. She was a faithful member of North Highlands Baptist Church in Hueytown where she served for over 20 years. She loved being a part of the Hallman Grow Group, helping during vacation Bible School with the VBX group and also helping to lead the preschool choir and going on the yearly family mission trips led by Frank & Cindy. She & Darrin loved to go camping and visiting antique stores in the different towns they visited and she was looking forward to more trips since Darrin had retired Angie was preceded in death by the father of her children, Jon Stone, her sister, Desa Storey and her father-in-law, Charlie Jones. She is survived by her husband of 17 years, Darrin Jones; her daughter, Payton Stone Rock & her husband, Sean; Melissa Seale & her husband, Luke; and by her son Patrick Stone and his friend, Liam. Angie was also a wonderful Gingi to two beautiful granddaughters, Hazel Rock & Sadie Seale, both whom she loved dearly; her mother, Deborah Cater; father, Bill & stepmom Vicki Cater; her brother Steve Cater (Leslie) & brother Chuck Cater (Danielle), her sister, Rachel Cater; grandparents, Alan & Marilyn Brown and mother-in-law, Doris Jones; brother-in-law Brian Jones (Jeanna) & sister-in-law Sharon Cooley (Shane); a very large extended family of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces & nephews, whom she all loved dearly; and also a large family of friends at North Highlands Baptist Church. The family would like to thank the Kirklin Clinic O’Neil Cancer Center for their excellent care including Dr Omer Jamy & his team of wonderful nurses including Becky, Kayla, Candice, Megan, Melissa & Stephen. The family would also like to thank Aveanna Health Care physical therapist, Suzanne Cooper and all her hard work in helping Angie to be able to walk again around the house. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations made in her memory to the North Highlands Baptist Church Mission Ministry or Choir Ministry at 4851 15th Street Road, Hueytown, AL 35023. The visitation to be Thursday October 3, 2024, from 4:30 PM until 8:00 PM, at North Highlands Baptist Church. The funeral service will be Friday, at 11:00 AM at the Church with Pastor Michael Wallace officiating. Interment will follow the service at Valley Creek Cemetery.
